Where Art Creates Opportunity

The White Family Foundation supports nonprofit arts and education programs that enrich lives and strengthen our communities.

Empowerment Through the Arts

At the heart of our mission is the belief that the arts are a powerful tool for change. Through our grants and community programs, we support creative initiatives that uplift voices, foster inclusion, and spark transformation.

These stories highlight the real-world impact- how music, visual art, theater, and dance are helping individuals and communities heal, grow, and thrive. Each story is a testament to the resilience, talent, and hope that emerge when people are empowered through artistic expression.

Celebrating Our History

Over the years, The White Family Foundation has supported a wide range of organizations. Today, we focus our giving on programs that celebrate and advance the arts, while still honoring the many causes we’ve worked with in the past.

Funding That Makes a Difference

“Because of this funding, students can participate fully in opportunities such as public showcases and community events, such as the New Bedford Film Festival — moments where their voices are amplified and their talent is recognized. These experiences are often the turning point for young artists, giving them the validation and momentum they need to pursue their creative goals.”

The White Family Foundation’s commitment to the arts is vital for Providence. Budget constraints have sidelined creative expression in schools, leaving students, and particularly low-income students of color, without access to arts education that could transform their lives… By supporting arts education in its fullest, most contemporary form, you’re opening doors historically closed to diverse low-income youth. This creates a beautiful multiplier effect.

“By investing in youth arts education, the Foundation is cultivating the next generation of creators, performers, cultural contributors, and engaged citizens. Their focus reinforces the belief that every young person, regardless of financial means, deserves the chance to express themselves, discover their talents, and participate in the cultural life of our community. The White Family Foundation’s support has not only brought music back to the Boys & Girls Club of Fall River—it has brought possibility, confidence, and creativity to hundreds of young people who might never have had access to the arts.”

“Continued support from the foundation over years has allowed Everett to be a stable place of learning and growth for young people as they become young adults, enter career paths and continue to be positively engaged members of their communities. Everett sends a huge thank you to the White Family Foundation for their support of Everett School and the many lives that support has changed for the better.”
